So much of what we do in quarter midget racing is making educated guesses ... sometimes we get it right and other times not.  The QM Setup Tool will help take some of the guesswork out of things and provide some of the tools you need to get your setups adjusted quicker and placing better race day after race day.

The QM Setup tool will help you with ...

• Record keeping

  • Track your setups and race day performance.  Common race day adjustments are simple to record

• Dialing in setup changes quicker

  • The Roll Analysis will calculate your lateral load transfer and allow you to play with common setup changes to see how they will effect your weight shift on your corners.  This can also help you deal with changing temperatures

• Adjusting to new tracks better

  • The Roll Analysis allows you to adjust for changes in speed, turn radius, banking, and grade.  This allows you to take a good setup and see what will happen on a new track.  You can then dial your setup in much quicker.

• Evaluating your stagger

  • The Stagger Calc takes your setup information and will calculate if the outside or inside tire will rotate more over a complete 180 degree turn of the car.  You can find the "sweet spot" on peak turn.  It is calculated over ranges so as your hot tire sizes come in, you can see where things will land

• Analyzing historical performance

  • You can look at your performance in a grid (Performance Summaries) or graphically (Scatter Graphs).  Look for matching conditions and find out what worked and what did not

  • The Tuning section provides performance tuning principles to think about as you try to adjust your performance as well as common troubleshooting tips
